Professional Interests

Clinical: Elective and trauma surgical treatments of the hand and wrist. Special interests include nerve and tendon trauma and Dupuytren’s disease.
Teaching: Weekly teaching of 2nd, 4th and 5th year medical students both at the university and in clinical settings. Examiner for 5th years in their final exit exams.
Membership: British Society for Surgery of the Hand, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh

Personal interests

Ellen is married with two teenage children. She enjoys needlepoint, beading, cake decorating and reading and is a leader for a children’s group at her local church.
